Nature’s perfect first food

Bovine Colostrum is the only form of Colostrum that is not species specific. In other words, it can significantly benefit all mammals, including humans. Because calves are born without immunity to airborne, disease-causing organisms, their mother’s Colostrum must contain many immune and health factors. As a result, bovine Colostrum has 10 – 21 times the factors of human Colostrum, making it the richest source of Colostrum available. It is the only 100% natural source of vital growth and healing factors and cannot be laboratory reproduced.

Quality Assurance

MIP Colostrum is made under internationally recognized HACCP Principles and Good Manufacturing Practices. Wherever possible NutriNZ sources active ingredients from New Zealand origin, and raw ingredients are sourced from quality-controlled and regulated New Zealand suppliers. It is New Zealand laboratory quality tested. During storage and shipment, precautions are taken to ensure that product quality is maintained. Each package is given a batch number to enable traceback.

Trusted for over 20 years. Pure and naturally sourced ingredients produced in New Zealand combined with rigorous testing and manufacturing standards guarantee the quality, efficacy and safety of all NutriNZ products.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here’s a collection of brief answers to many of our customers’ questions over the years. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, please get in touch with us: at info@nutrinz.com

Is it possible to have lactose intolerance?

Colostrum contains only 17mg of lactose per capsule, compared to 13,000 mg per 8-ounce glass of milk. As a rule of thumb, it is best to begin colostrum consumption slowly (1 capsule before breakfast = 500 mg per day) to allow the body to regulate and produce the necessary enzymes. Lactose intolerance and many other intolerances can be overcome with the help of MIP colostrum.

Can I take MIP Colostrum with other supplements and medications?

MIP Colostrum helps your body and works to regulate your body’s absorption rates. It heals the digestive tract so well that all substances eaten internally (food, herbs, natural healing substances and medications) are more enhanced in terms of their bioavailability to the body. Although MIP Colostrum has no known drug interactions, the other supplements and medications you are taking could have a more pronounced effect. If you are under a doctor’s care for a medical condition, ask your doctor before adding Colostrum to your diet.

Should MIP Colostrum be taken when pregnant?

MIP Colostrum doesn’t hurt you or your foetus, but you should check with your health care professional first. Once your baby is born, it would be beneficial to start taking MIP Colostrum supplements immediately as it may help boost your immune system, which suffers during childbirth. It may help you recover faster and bounce back into shape.

What are the benefits of MIP Colostrum for children?

MIP Colostrum has proven beneficial to children because their immune systems are underdeveloped. Consumption of MIP Colostrum builds their immune cells and helps them combat various illnesses and diseases. It also assists in developing and maintaining the gut wall so it can absorb more nutrients. You can encourage your child’s physical and mental growth with MIP Colostrum because it is rich in Growth Factors. The formula can be supplemented with Colostrum if the child is under 12 months and not breastfed. Consult your doctor if you are unsure.

MIP Colostrum: How does it work?

A newborn’s MIP Colostrum transfers passive immunity from the mother to the child. A mother’s immune system produces antibodies in response to various environmental factors and expected organisms over her lifetime. Passive immunity occurs when a mother passes on her antibodies to her child. Antibodies are passively passed through the placenta by the mother to her unborn child in utero. Colostrum is passively injected into the young of animals whose maternal antibodies do not pass through the placental barrier, such as horses, cattle, pigs, and sheep. It takes a few days after birth for these species to absorb maternal antibodies present in the Colostrum.

Why choose New Zealand Colostrum?

New Zealand Colostrum is recognized as the world’s premium Colostrum. Why? Because New Zealand has a solid competitive advantage in Colostrum production due in part to New Zealand’s dairy cows all calving during a single three-month period every year (in spring).

Colostrum from New Zealand farms is collected and chilled at the processing plant. Because MIP Colostrum is handled gently, collected at low temperatures, and processed the same day, the natural active ingredients are preserved. Colostrum is collected in batches in other countries until enough is collected for processing (especially 6-hour Colostrum). To ensure that the product remains intact for an extended period, it must be frozen before processing. When immunoglobulins, growth factors, and other biostrum nutritech pvt active components are frozen and thawed rapidly before processing, this can cause damage to protein molecules.

A pasture-fed, non-hyperimmunized, healthy New Zealand cow’s early milk is the best source of Colostrum. New Zealand is the best source of Colostrum due to its temperate climate and farming practices. Additionally, New Zealand dairy products are renowned for their quality and consistency on both the manufacturing and distribution fronts. There are no genetically modified organisms in MIP Colostrum.

Why choose Bovine Colostrum?

Bovine Colostrum is the only form of Colostrum that is not species specific. In other words, it can significantly benefit all mammals, including humans. Because calves are born without immunity to airborne, disease-causing organisms, their mother’s Colostrum must contain many immune and health factors. As a result, bovine Colostrum has 10 to 20 times the factors of human Colostrum, making it the richest source of Colostrum available. MIP Colostrum is the ultimate in preserving all the natural transfer factors.

When is MIP Colostrum collected?

MIP Colostrum is collected same-day and only from selected healthy, pasture-feed dairy herds. A calf is left with the cow for 8-12 hours after calving to ensure the calf has received enough Colostrum. The first and second colostrum milkings are only collected for same-day processing. The calves get their fill first.

Should Colostrum be pasteurized?

Absolutely! Cow manure can easily splash onto the udders, contaminating them with E-coli, salmonella and other pathogenic bacteria. This creates the potential for contamination of dairy products. MIP Colostrum is a natural, spray-dried powder made from fresh, at 72 degrees pasteurised Colostrum which contains IgG and many other bioactive bovine colostrum powder components.

Why doesn’t MIP Colostrum have a protective coating?

According to research, bovine Colostrum has the same molecular structure as human Colostrum. It makes no sense to coat breast milk with a coating since it is identical to it? An effective aid for the digestive system, including the stomach lining and tissues, is uncoated Colostrum.

Do the Immunoglobulins in MIP Colostrum survive pasteurisation?

Tests have been carried out on MIP Colostrum (flash pasteurised at 72°C for 15 seconds), showing that the MIP Colostrum retains its bioactivity during this process.

How does MIP Colostrum differ from plain milk?

The MIP Colostrum contains not only all the goodness of milk but also several immune factors and immunoglobulins that promote growth and disease prevention MIP colostrum. A higher quantity of protein, vitamins, and minerals can be found in MIP Colostrum and a lower amount of lactose.

Why is fat removed from MIP Colostrum?

The fat should be removed for two reasons:

1) It does not contain any biologically active proteins. In fact, by removing the fat, the concentration of the biologically active proteins is increased.

2) The shelf life would be reduced if fat was present because of its oxidative nature.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here’s a collection of brief answers to many of the questions our customers have asked us over the years. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, please contact us: info@nutrinz.com

What if I’m lactose intolerant?
The amount of lactose in Colostrum is very small 17mg in one capsules compared to 13,000 mg in one 8-oz of milk. We normally recommend starting slow with colostrum consumption (1 capsule before breakfast = 500 mg per day) and allow the body to begin the necessary enzymatic production and balance itself. You can overcome lactose as well as many other intolerances through the use of MIP Colostrum.

Can I take MIP Colostrum with other supplements and medications?
MIP Colostrum actually helps your body and works to regulate your body’s absorption rates. It heals the digestive tract so well that all substances eaten internally (food, herbs, natural healing substances and medications) are more enhanced in terms of their bioavailability to the body. Although MIP Colostrum has no known drug interactions, you may find that the other supplements and medications that you are taking could have a more pronounced effect.  If you are under a doctor’s care for a medical condition, ask your doctor before adding colostrum to your diet.

Should MIP Colostrum be taken when pregnant?
MIP Colostrum doesn’t hurt you or your foetus, but you should check with your health care professional first. Once your baby is born it would be beneficial to start taking MIP Colostrum right away as it may help boost your immune system which suffers during child birth. It may help you recover faster and bounce back into shape.

How can MIP Colostrum help Children?
Due to the fact that children do not possess a very well developed and strong immune system MIP Colostrum has proven very beneficial to children. The consumption of MIP Colostrum helps building their immune cells and enables them to combat various illnesses and diseases. It further helps in developing and maintaining the gut wall so that they can take in more nutrients. MIP Colostrum has several Growth Factors that aid in encouraging a healthy physical growth as well as mental development of your child. For children under 12 months and not breastfed you can add colostrum to the formula. If you are unsure, ask your doctor.

How does MIP Colostrum work?
The main function of MIP Colostrum in a new-born is to aid in the transfer of passive immunity from the mother to the child. The mother has been exposed to a variety of environmental factors and organisms during her lifetime to which her immune system has produced antibodies. In the transfer of passive immunity the mother passes on her produced antibodies to her child. The mother passively immunises her young in utero by passing the antibodies through the placenta. In animals where maternal antibodies do not pass through the placental barrier (horses, cattle, pigs, and sheep), the young are passively immunised immediately after birth by way of Colostrum. In these species the maternal antibodies present in the Colostrum are absorbed directly through the gut in the first few days following birth.

Why choose New Zealand Colostrum?
New Zealand Colostrum is recognised as the world’s premium Colostrum. Why? Because New Zealand has a strong competitive advantage in Colostrum production due in part to New Zealand’s dairy cows all calving during a single three-month period every year (in spring).

New Zealand Colostrum is collected and transported in a fresh chilled state from farms to the processing plant. This is a crucial production advantage, because gentle handling, low temperature collection and same day processing technology preserve the natural active ingredients of MIP Colostrum. In other countries, Colostrum is collected in batches until there is enough to process (especially 6 hour colostrum). This means it must be stored for long periods before processing, so it is frozen. Rapid freezing and rapid thawing techniques prior to processing can cause damage to the protein molecules and can compromise the integrity and biological activity of the immunoglobulins, growth factors and other biologically active components.

The best source of Colostrum is from the early milk (first 2 milkings) of pasture fed, non-hyperimmunised, healthy New Zealand cows. The temperate climate combined with our farming practices make New Zealand the absolute best supplier of Colostrum. Furthermore, New Zealand dairy products are renowned worldwide for their quality and consistency in both manufacturing and supply. MIP Colostrum contains no genetically modified organisms.

Why choose Bovine Colostrum?
Bovine Colostrum is the only form of colostrum that is not species specific. In other words, it can significantly benefit all mammals, including humans of course. Because calves are born without any immunity to airborne, disease-causing organisms, their mothers Colostrum must contain a very large amount of immune and health factors. As a result bovine Colostrum has 10 to 20 times the factors of human Colostrum, making it the richest source of Colostrum available. When is MIP Colostrum collected?
MIP Colostrum is same day collected and only from selected healthy, pasture feed dairy herds. After calving, the calf is left with the cow for 8-12 hours to ensure the calf has had sufficient colostrum. Only the rest of the first and second colostrum milkings are collected for same day processing. We make sure the calves get their fill first.

Should Colostrum be pasteurised?
Absolutely! Cow manure can easily splash onto the udders contaminating them with E-coli, salmonella and other pathogenic bacteria. This creates the potential for contamination of dairy products. MIP Colostrum is a natural, spray dried powder made from fresh, at 72 degrees pasteurised colostrum which contains IgG and many other bioactive components.

Why doesn’t MIP Colostrum have a protective coating?
Research has shown that the molecular structure of bovine colostrum is identical to human colostrum. So why would we put a coating around a substance that is identical to breast milk? Uncoated Colostrum is a very successful aid for the whole digestive system including the stomach lining and tissues.

Do the Immunoglobulins in MIP Colostrum survive pasteurisation?
Tests have been carried out on MIP Colostrum (which is flash pasteurised at 72°C for 15 seconds) that show that the MIP Colostrum retains its bioactivity during this process.

How does MIP Colostrum differ from plain milk?
MIP Colostrum not only contains all the goodness of milk but also contains significant levels of growth promoting and disease fighting substances commonly referred to immune factors and immunoglobulins. MIP Colostrum has a much higher protein, vitamin, mineral content and is lower in lactose.

Why is fat removed from MIP Colostrum?
The fat should be removed for two reasons:
1) It does not contain any biologically active proteins. In fact by removing the fat, the concentration of the biologically active proteins is increased.
2) Fat is prone to oxidisation, so the shelf life would be reduced if it was present.
